"The Prophetic Adversary"

Spiritual gifts are a necessity to the New Testament Church

They are the tools God has given us to strengthen the local Church while at the same time reaching the lost souls. Spiritual gifts can and should be used both inside and outside the four walls of the Church, the gift of healing was often used to show a non-believer the power of God and convert them, the discerning of spirits is also needed in the world because this was the only way Paul was able to discern that the young woman who spoke so well of him was actually operating in the spirit of divination, and you better stop being so moved by peoples words and ask God to reveal their motives towards you and maybe you’ll have less friends but you’ll also sleep better at night, tell somebody get some discernment. But one of the most coveted and desired gifts we see today is the gift of prophecy, everybody wants to prophecy and bibleically that is ok because even Moses prayed that all would prophesy so that they could hear God for themselves. By common definition prophesy is the reception and declaration of a word from the Lord through a direct prompting of the Holy Spirit and the human instrument thereof, in other words a prophesy is a word from God but i would lift to you that prophetic words don’t just come from God, let me explain. I always inform you of the reality that the spirit realm is open to all kinds of spirits, and you must be careful to ensure you are connected to the right side of the spirit realm. Sad to say that because the Church has use their spiritual gifts to prophecy material things which we called “miracles”, and less about signs and wonders, people has become bored with us and have searched for other avenues to give them that deeper experience with the spiritual, now we are bombarded with other new age teachings and we have seen a rise in new methods of connecting with the spirit realm because we a s humans need power from a higher source and if your source isn’t giving me what I need I’ll either find it somewhere else or I’ll just create my own. This is how the prophetic got perverted and now we see Elijah standing on Mt. Carmel by himself against a host of 450 prophets, but not prophets of God but prophets of Baal, those who had operated in the prophetic but found a way to use it to curse and not bless, but if you know the God that I serve you can never curse what God has blessed, tell your neighbor let ‘em talk, I’m still blessed, as a matter of fact their talking sete me up for my next miracle!

It is impossible for the enemy to curse you… I’ll prove it to you.

In Numbers we see the account of the King Balak and the prophet Balaam...

We see the account in the book of Esther where the evil one Haman desires to have Mordecai killed…. the king’s own royal robes/ horse that the king himself has ridden/ led through the city square on the king’s horse with someone shouting ‘This is what the king does for someone he wishes to honor!’ Your adversary is speaking up your next promotion, tell somebody “let ‘em talk” they have better plans for you than you have for yourself, let ‘em talk you into that new house, let ‘em talk you into that new job, let ‘em talk you into a better postition shout keep talking because you can never curse me you can only promote me!

And our last account brings out text out the backroom and shows us a wounded saviour being betrayed over and over again by those whom he has been called to take on this deadly journey with him and nothing is worse than being assigned to someone you already know is going to hurt you and let you down, but tell somebody ‘feed them anyway’, your level of maturity is not tested in your divinity but it’s tested in your carnality, because God can’t use your short temper and hard head to cover those who exposed you, he can’t use your pettiness to promote those who talked about you behind your back, and you will see how mature you really are once you encounter a snake that you have to keep with you for a season, but tell somebpdy Judas will always himself, you aint got to worry and getting back at him he will take care of himself...

So Jesus is dealing with a broken trust, a broken heart, and now a broken body, he is being beatin’, carried to Pontius Pilate and the battle of accusations begins, he is asked if what people are saying about him is true. Are you the King of the Jews?
